Our representative would pick your group from Kushok Bakula airport in Leh and would commute you to your Guesthouse, where you will be checked in. You are advised to have the full day at rest for high altitude acclimatization. Evening you can take an easy walk to market nearby. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Full day sightseeing of Leh, wherein we will visit Thiksey monastery and Stok palace in the morning. We come back to hotel for hot lunch and rest. In the evening, we visit the Hall of Fame (a glorious museum built by the Indian Army) and end the day by enjoying the beautiful sunset at Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay at Guesthouse in Leh.

Leh - Spituk (drive 1 hour) - Trek to Zingchen  (4 hours)

Early morning, we start our drive from Leh and reach Spituk. We visit the Spituk Gompa, built during the 11^th century.  We start the Trek from here, with ponies carrying our luggage, tents and other essentials. The path at the beginning of the trek is dry and flat until we enter the lush Zingchen valley, where the Rumbak river meets the Indus river. We end our day at the tiny hamlet of Zinchen(3200 mts) where we shall stop for overnight camping.

Zingchen – Yurutse (5 hours)

It's a gradual climb from Zingchan to Rumbak. From here one gets fabulous views of the snow capped Stok Mountains. From here we move along the Rumbak Nala towards Yurutse(3900 mts). At Yurutse village you will find fields of barley and potatoes. Overnight in the Tents.

Yurutse – Skiu (6-7 hours)                                               
Our journey today starts off with a gradual ascent towards Ganda la (4900 mtrs).The view of the Himalayan peaks from Ganda La is breathtaking. We continue our trek and start a long descent to the tiny village of Shingo,where we will stop for lunch.

After lunch we continue our descent, through a stunning rocky ravine filled with wild rosebushes and trickling mountain streams. At the end of the descent, we reach the banks of the Markha River. We continue our trek until we reach the village of Skiu (3700 mtrs), where there is a confluence of the rivers coming from Markha valley and Shingo. Overnight camping in the tents.

Skiu - Markha (7 hours)

Today, it is a very pleasant hike up the Markha valley today with the trail crossing numerous streams. There are bridges at many of the more difficult crossing places. The lush vegetation along the riverside is in stark contrast to the dry and barren upper valley slopes. We reach the quaint village of Markha (3800 mts) with a deserted fort. Overnight camping in the tents.

Markha-Tahungtse (4-5hours)

From Markha, the country changes and the warm, relatively heavily wooded sections of the lower Markha is left behind. One will be required to cross the river several times as there are no bridges here. Hankar, enroute, is the highest village in the Markha valley. Overnight in the tents.

Tahungtse—Nimaling(4 hours)

We continue ascending over the edge of the high grazing pastures.There are a series of Mani walls (walls carved with Buddhist prayers) and chortens en route. This is one of the most beautiful high valleys in Ladakh. As we reach the plateau of Nimaling, we can see a clear view of Kangyazi peak (6200 m). A further gradual walk of around two hours takes us to our camps. Rest of the day will be at leisure. We also get a peak in to the lifestyle of the nomadic shepherds with their hundreds of goats, yaks and sheep. Overnight camp at Nimaling(4650 m)

Nimaling-KongmaruLa - Sumdo (7hours) 

Today one will cross to the north of the Markha, climbing to the top of the highest of the three passes, the 5,306 M Kongmaru La, with its wonderful views from the top. There are snow peaks in every direction and on a clear day the giants of Karakoram, including K2 peak, can be seen on the north-western horizon. The trail descends to the Martselang valley, following the Martselang stream to the village of Sumdo. Overnight in the tents.

Sumdo-Hemis (4 hours trek) - Leh 

Today we make an easy descent into the valley of the Indus and end our trek at Martselang villlage. Here, we board our waiting Jeep and drive towards to Leh. Enroute we visit Hemis monastery, Shey and Thiksey monastery. Overnight stay in guesthouse.

Early morning drive to airport for onward journey to Delhi with memories of a lifetime!
